Pago Venta La Ossa is a small and artisanal estate winery. It is completely surrounded by vineyards that have been planted over the course of the last eleven years. The focus of the estate is to research the behavior of long established international varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Touriga Nacional, Petit Verdot, and Monastrell. The Touriga Nacional and Syrah grapes comes from a very low yielding single vineyards planted 11 years ago. Tempranillo vines are on average 60 years-old. The wine is fermented and aged in new French oak barrels of 225 liters for 12 months. PRODUCTION: 300 cases for the U.S.
