Venge Vineyards Zinfandel Blend Napa Valley Scout's Honor 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

One of those we all look forward to each year. The 2004 is young at release (Sept 06). 6 more months in bottle wouldn't hurt!

Zesty yet supple, with plum and roasted sage aromas and lively black cherry, tobacco and brush flavors that finish with firm tannins. Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Charbono. Drink now though 2012.

A blend of 68% Zinfandel, 17% Charbono, and 15% Petite Sirah is the excellent 2005 Venge Family Reserve Scouts Honor. Briery, gamy, herb, tar, truffle, black cherry, and wild mountain berry fruit are present in this rich, medium to full-bodied effort. It is best drunk over the next 3andndash;4 years.
