Editorial Reviews for Vavasour Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough Dashwood
A big roasted pepper character on the nose that’s both grassy and vegetal while remaining lively and freshly citrussy. Bright, lean and mineral on the palate with nice cut and a sweet edge of green kiwi fruit up front. Rather complete with nice length. Ripe, rich and zesty. 89pts

Solid NZ sauvignon Blanc. Good value.
This is my favorite NZ SB in this price point. The lime, grapefruit and pineapple flavors blend well with pronounced minerality and slight green finish. High acid makes this uber food-friendly.

Pale bright yellow. Pungent aromas of tropical fruits, pepper and smoke. The palate offers decent concentration to the flavors of grapefruit pith and white pepper, with a repeating suggestion of tropical fruits. The moderately persistent finish shows more saline minerality than fruit.
Light-bodied, with vivid passion fruit, lime and fresh herb and cut grass notes. Refreshing acidity gives this plenty of momentum on the finish. Drink now.
From a vintage of balanced weather, the 2004 Sauvignon Blanc exhibits excellent ripeness in its rich pear, apple, talcum powder, and gooseberry aromas. Medium to full-bodied, ample, and satin-textured, this wonderful value bastes the tasterrsquo;s palate with waves of lush spiced gooseberries whose effects linger in its long, seamless finish.
Boisterous aromas of gooseberries are found in the nose of the 2002 Sauvignon Blanc. It is rich, highly expressive, satin-textured, and well-balanced. Loads of tangy melon, gooseberry, and spice flavors make up its medium-bodied personality. Drink this beauty over the next 2ndash;3 years.
A strong effort from Vavasourrsquo;s second label, the 2008 Dashwood SB features vibrant aromas of crushed tomato leaf and hints of jalapentilde;o and flavors of green tomato and gooseberry. Itrsquo;s medium in body and slightly creamy in texture, with a crisp, fruit-driven finish.
This winersquo;s zesty grapefruit and passion fruit flavors emphasize the fresh, citrusy side of sauvignon. A little light in the aroma and finish, this makes a good aperitif with any raw shellfish.
This fruity sauvignon bears an intriguing range of green scents, from kiwi to fennel and shizo. Both lush and fresh, itrsquo;s a generously textured white for yellowtail sashimi.
