Add your reviewNose: asparagus, lime, hints of gooseberry, smoky/flinty edge?. nettle. Intense, green & citrussy. Palate: Lime, asparagus, gooseberry, lemon, lime peel, nettle? Fresh, crisp, crunch acidity. Crunchy, slight phenolic edge. Slight hint of minerality in finish. Savoury on finish.
The aromatics are strong and expressive, displaying heavy tropical notes of fresh herbs, guava and a slight hint of grassiness. This wine is extremely crisp where you'll find flavors of passion fruit, grapefruit and guava without being overly sweet. These flavors are accompanied by a bright, mouthwatering acidity that begs you to take another sip. This wine sets itself apart from other NZ Sauv Blancs due to it not being overly sweet, aggressive or grassy - ie. Kim Crawford, Nobilo, Starborough.
