Dramatically aromatic, brimming with black cherry, hinting at smoke and spices as the flavors play against firm tannins. Needs time to soften, and then fasten your seatbelt. Best from 2006 through 2012.

Made entirely from the wineryrsquo;s 77-acre estate vineyard, this red represents a blend of three clonal selections mdash; Dijon and Pommard from Burgundy and Wauml;denswil from Switzerland. It undergoes malolactic fermentation and aging in a mix of new and used French oak barrels before being bottled. Jim Kakacek handles the winemaking duties.
