Valley of the Moon Zinfandel Sonoma County 2008
Member Review by EMark:
Not the darkest colored zin I've seen. Peppery, spicy, woody aromas. Also, not the most full bodied zin I've tasted--I would give it a medium-to-light (for a red). Delicious berry fruit the tip of the tongue, followed by pepper, also, the "roughness" of tannin. This is quite refreshing. I'll be having it with some pasta with last night's cioppino poured over it, but you can certainly sip this one as an aperitif. US$10.49 last July at Total Wines.
