Valley of the Moon Syrah 2004
Tasted this at the winery. It was much lighter than I was expecting for a syrah, but pleasantly so. Ripe fruit aromas, with blueberry leading the pack. Wonderful flavors of dark fruit, oak, leather, and cedar. Much more fruit-forward than other syrah's I've tasted.
Rich berry fruit tones with a touch of smokiness on the nose. Rich and opulent on the palatte with deep, ripe blueberry flavors. Hints of tobacco and cedar, giving way to a long, lingering finish
