Valley of the Moon Sonoma County Syrah 2006
Really Twizzler-y on the nose and a bit tight at first, but with some time to breath in the glass this opens up nicely. Some tart red berry fruit mixed with dark cherries provide a nice flavor balance. Almost a tea with honey flavor on the back end which I find very interesting.
Food Pairings for Valley of the Moon Sonoma County Syrah
Blackberry and spice aromas are enhanced by nuances of sweet tobacco. The rich and jammy fruit flavors intermingle with cedar and red and black peppercorn, leading to a long finish with a full tannin structure.
