Winemaker's Notes:
A very dark ruby, almost purple with faint edges of brighter ruby. On the nose, dark brooding aromas of leather, musky earth, and spice. Very masculine wine. Cherries and spice on the palate accompanied by a background of the earthy scents: cinnamon peat and musk. After an hour or so, the earthy flavors were lost to an aggressive acidity. Oh well. A fanstastic, transformative Montepulciano.
