Valdelapinta Verdejo White 2009

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

This offers up a really striking almond note at first, gaining more of a creamy citrus character with air, but that almond element remains core to the aromatics. In the mouth this has a creamy, leesy character balanced by some fine acids. It’s a light wine, retaining that fresh nuttiness found on the nose, while adding some very clear, crisp apple and green plum fruit tones. The finish is a battle between almond and mineral (and very perfumed at that), with solid length. I don’t know if this is particularly varietal, but it sure is good. 90pts
