Jammy nose and a bit floral. Noticeable blueberries and flowers. Very acidic and floral a bit interesting for a syrah from Cali.

Very toasty and jammy, concentrated fruits with a little maple ham thing going on. Is that toasted marshmallows on the finish? Holy oak treatment, Batman!

Rating: 88/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. Favoring ripe blackberries and plum jam in focus with a touch of milk chocolate for good measure, the rich but somewhat tight aromas of this full-bodied wine are followed on the palate by a fleshy and somewhat rounded entry and by a tannin-laden, hot-edged finish. Deep fruit saves the wine from itself and allows it to be a good mate to savory lamb roasts.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.
