Unti Vineyards Syrah Dry Creek Valley 2007

External Review by Astor Wines & Spirits:

Here is a rich and robust Syrah that sees 14 months in French oak, some of which is new. Mick Unti keeps yields extremely low in the vineyard to ensure that this wine is dense and packed with intense, dark fruit aromas and flavors. Pure, pulpy, and spicy.

The winemaking includes artisan methods which enhance and support an ability to make wines with a sense of place. Almost all of the wines, and opinions, are unfiltered. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
