Dark, inky and bone dry. Red fruits and earth are secondary. About as close to Italy as we get in Cali.
inky deep red, oaky nose, tart and medium long finish
About as good of a red wine as you will find. Light and bright tannins with incredible bright red fruit. Yet, it is very dry. No one does Barbera better in CA.
External Reviews for Unti Dry Creek Barbera
The Unti estate was born in 1992 when George Unti bought vineyard land in Dry Creek. His son, Mick, now runs the winery. This is a plush, dark fruited Barbera that, in spite of its weight, has lovely balance. Meaty and showing just a touch of cedar from 11 months in mostly neutral oak.
