Surprisingly smooth Pinot at this price point, and a twist-top to boot! Lip-smacking cherry flavors, though not too fruity. Has an earthy balance, sort of a root beer finish. Great casual wine for gatherings.

The flavor was strong and light for a Pinot Noir but easy to sip on after dinner

Underwood is fast-becoming one of Oregon’s best values in Pinot Noir. Light and pretty raspberry fruit gains mass and flavor interest with well-integrated veins of stem and earth. It’s nicely balanced and true to variety.

Underwood Cellars embodies the spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Our wines reflect the vast bounty of fruit that the diverse climate, geology, and slopes produce here in the Northwest.Description: Our Pinot Noir comes from distinct vineyards throughout Oregon. We look for sites that give us diversity, low elevation for ripeness and intensity, high elevation for acidity and aromatics. From Walla Walla to Dundee to Melrose, Oregon, these sites allow us to create this truly Oregon Pinot Noir.Tasting Notes: The Underwood Pinot Noir exhibits aromas cranberries, red raspberries, with notes of smoke and spice. The palate is filled with sweet raspberry fruit intertwined with warm cinnamon tones. This wines bright acidity and fine tannins come together in a fruit laden finish. - Winery

Perhaps you thought the 2011 vintage of this wine was a bit too tart. (Remember those sour cherries and dried cranberries? Delicious, I thought). The 2012 vintage is still quite light, with softer, riper fruits. In the Venn diagram of flavors, we’re approaching the point where tart red fruits meet juicier black fruits. Enjoy with roast pork.

Bright and tangy, with juicy cranberry and raspberry flavors on the lively frame, lilting pleasantly on the finish. Drink now.

Terrific value Pinot Noir — it’s rare to find such bright fruit and freshness in a Pinot under $10, especially from Oregon! Intense cherry and cranberry fruit notes dominate on the palate. Great for pre-dinner cocktails, salmon rolls or light chicken dishes. Food pairing: pasta, poultry, seafood Flavor type: fruit-forward Body type: light Finish: crisp
