Umani Ronchi Villa Bianchi Verdicchio Classico 2010
Member Review by Terence Pang:
AUD$22. The mainstay grape of the Marche region in Central Italy, the Verdicchio white grape is quite similar to Trebbiano from Soave. The Villa Bianchi label is an affordable, high quality wine from Umani Ronchi. Pale straw colour (and some might say a tinge of green, ‘Verde’). Soft aromatics of lemon, green apple and hint of grated raw brasil nut. Dry, medium bodied wine, high acidity and 12% alc. Lovely balanced flavours of preserved lemon peel, pear and nut. A wine that can be enjoyed on its own, but have it with spinach and feta pasta bake, or mussel curry. Drink now – 2015. 91/100.
