RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

The 1999 Brunello di Montalcino, with penetrating, spicy, and leathery aromas, is intense and concentrated on the palate, and is just beginning to round off. There are some tannins to resolve on the finish, but the depth of flavor should insure another ten years of satisfying drinking ahead.
Ruby-red. Wild. Côte-Rôtie-like aromas of raspberry, leather, bloody steak and magnolia. Lush, sweet, fat and seamless; rustic in a positive way. Notes of leather, tobacco, meat, coffee and earth. Finishes with broad, fine, sweet tannins. A distinctly sauvage, very dense wine that should offer early accessibility.
Shows wonderful aromas of ripe berry, fresh mushroom, cigar box and spices. Full-bodied, with superfine tannins and a long finish. Excellent for the vintage. Best after 2010.
This is among our favorite 2004 Brunellos. Winemaker Andrea Cortonesi who once said, " the best irrigation is sweat," has worked hard to craft this plush, modern and penetrating wine. It boasts a deep, dark concentration and a very beautiful bouquet of luscious blackberries, spice, black mineral and cola. It's round and supple and shines simpatico.
The 2004 Brunello di Montecino is simply gorgeous in the way all of its elements come together. It's hard to know where to start with this wine. Smoke, scorched earth, black cherries and wild herb are all melded seamlessly in a Brunello loaded with flavor, personality and sheer character. The wine possesses formidable concentration and phenomenal length, with lingering notes of sweetness that round out the close. Uccelliera's Brunello was impressive from cask, and it is just as impressive now that it is in bottle. Readers who have the opportunity to taste the wine at this young stage should not hesitate although a few years are needed before it blossoms fully. Simply put, this is the finest wine I have tasted from Andrea Cortonesi. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024.
Complex aromas of rose, blackberry, blueberry and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, with wonderfully velvety tannins and focused, juicy, rich fruit. Long and intense. The finish shows berry, tobacco, toasty oak, berry and chocolate. Goes on and on. One of the wines of the vintage. Best after 2011.
A touch rusty to the eye, but pretty to the nose. Aromas of mint, clove and dried fruits elicit excitement, as does the lovely round palate that's loaded with flavors of smoked meat and herbal but ripe berry fruit. Quite full-bodied and sly, although its aging potential could be limited. Likely best over the next three to five years.
