Tzingana Monte Bernardi Merlot/Cabernet 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Monte Bernardi has produced a very good line-up of wines in 2004, and theout-and-out champion is their Tzingana Rosso, a distinction that is alsoreflected in the price. It is a Cabernet-Merlot-Petit Verdot blend, aged for 12months in French bariques (30% new). In addition to its splendid colour, itdisplays a refined, etheral nose , with pure aromas of redberries andsweet spices, underlined by mint and tobacco overtones. On the palate, therichness is convincing, attractively fruity and balanced by soft, ripe tannins.
