I am partial to a whole host of South African reds and this is no exception. Good simple wine to have with a meal, little to no tannins and easy to find.
Varietally-correct aromas of cassis and green peppers. Flavors are overwhelmed with bacon fat and smoke. Not a good oak program, but will appeal to those who like their wines sweet and oaky.
Just found this wine on a recommendation from a friend. I'm quite liking the both slightly dry and fruity taste. It may just be the wine at our wedding in November. I'm hoping it serves both as a wine before and after food.
Possibly the best in its price range.
