Two Hands Shiraz Mclaren Vale Lily's Garden 2001
Tasting Notes Deep purple in colour with a black heart. The bouquet is rich and powerful with defined aromas of currants, cola, liquorice and plum backed by subtle tar and earth. The palate is thick and mouth coating, displaying luscious flavours of chocolate, liquorice, black fruits and balanced natural sweetness. The highlight of this wine is the dense mid-palate that rolls into a powerful and flavoursome finish controlled by trademark Barossa tannins. Winemaking The grapes were crushed into and fermented in open top potters, with regular pump overs twice daily to extract colour and tannin. The grapes were then pressed and the wine was transferred to tank and then racked to barrel for oak maturation.
