What to Expect

Australia has certainly made Syrah its own, even bestowing it with a new name: Shiraz. In the warm, dry climate of Australia this noble grape, responsible for some of the grandest wines of France, produces an intense, unique expression that is distinctly Australian. The ripe grapes take on classic notes of black pepper and leather that add depth and complexity to the black cherry and plum fruits on the palate. Australian Shiraz has typically been aged in American Oak barrels which impart the wine with a distinct note of vanilla that can add to the impression of ripeness many of these wines have, but the time in barrel also allows the wines a chance to settle and reveal their rich, voluptuously styled mouthfeel.

(2007) Still young needs time to open up when opening bottle. Very smooth with slight earthy tones. Excellent berry combinations of cherry and blackberry. Will stay with you for a while and improves slightly upon finishing. Will only get better with a few more years

A friend found a bottle of this collecting dust at a local liquor store NYE, 2006 -- It might just have been the luckiest day of my life! Complex and bold, smooth and silky -- it has it all!

Wine Skinny

A "yowsa" wine, with full-bodied blackberry and black currant fruit accented with aromatic cedar, tobacco leaf, mineral and delicate spices that all linger on the persistent finish. This is a great example of the balance that Two Hands achieves - stays elegant from beginning to end. Ready to drink now and over the next eight or nine years.

Red Wine by Two Hands from Barossa Valley, Australia. Dense purple red almost black. A powerful nose of ripe plums and succulent blackberries laced with a hint of cedar spice. Wow! Bella's as always shows amazing depth and power whilst

delicious, dark, Shiraz. A classic fruit bomb, but with complexity on the midpalate and a silky finish. An outstanding wine. No wonder it was the #5 wine of the year from WineSpectator.
