Twenty Bench Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc. A wine of great personality, with aromas of fresh red-fruits and blackcurrant scents dominating the nose. Flavors of cassis, blackberry, cigar box, dark chocolate and vanilla spice. Length, and finesse on the palate, a finely balanced wine of substance with firm structure and silky tannins. We challenge you to blind taste this wine with Napa Cabernets at twice the price to appreciate this wine's great value. Barrel aged 12 months in 100% French oak (30% new). Alcohol 14.5%.
So here is my review of the 2010 Twenty Bench. I like the wine.....It's soft and easy to drink....So it's food friendly. Not much nose when you open it up. It's light to start with a light to mid palate.....but here is the kicker.....Not much of a finish at all. i didn't get as much depth or structure as I would have expected. To me....an improvement over the 2009 for sure. Maybe this needs another 2 to 3 years in the cellar. It's good, but the 2007 still remains the best Twenty Bench Cabernet ever made. Just my opinion! Cheers

Here is an opportunity to enjoy a wine from a great producer at a fraction of the price! Twenty Bench Cabernet is a secondary production from well-known winemaker, Jim Regusci. This is a fine example of a Napa Valley Cab, with flavors of blackberries, currant, espresso and hints of toasty oak. All this is well integrated with noticeable tannins and a has nice hearty long finish. Serve with grilled marinated flank steak and portobello mushrooms.
For the price, you get a Cabernet that shows some pretty good Napa character. It’s ripe and forward with black currants with tough tannins and a hit of sweet oak. Lots going on, and could even age for a few years. If you drink it now, give it a couple hours of airing.
