Turning Leaf Vineyards Chardonnay Central Coast 2001
External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:
Kamen's brilliant 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the more complete Cabernets I have tasted from that vintage. Beautiful blue and black fruit along with subtle background oak and floral aromas soar from the glass of this full-bodied effort. The wine possesses silky tannin (a good sign in this vintage), a layered mouthfeel, a long finish, and a pure, stylish, Margaux-like delicacy and complexity. It should drink well for 15-20 years.
Add winemaker's notesTurning Leaf is a brand produced by E & J Gallo wines in Modesto, California. The wines are accessible, value-driven whites, reds and rosé (White Zinfandel) that are available in most supermarkets and retail establishments.

Silky, elegant and appealing for its juicy raspberry, spice and cream flavors, lingering enticingly on the shapely finish. Drink now through 2014.

Super-ripe and oaky, with tropical fruit, vanilla and buttered toast flavors, this wine leaves little to the imagination. It's sweet on the finish, but fortunately has good acids.

Pleasant, clean and well-made, with simple citrus, lemon, nutmeg and green pear and fennel on the finish.
