Turnbull Old Bull 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Blend: 70% Merlot, 11% Tempranillo, 7% Petite Sirah, 5% Syrah, 4% Sangiovese, 3% Barbera Brix: 24.6˚- 27.2˚ Fermentation: Fermented an average of 18 days on the skins in stainless steel tanks Time in oak: Aged 5 months Alcohol: 14.1% Production: 7,500 cases (approx.) Suggested Retail Price: $20 per bottle Released just in the time for those summer barbeques. This wine has a berry fruity aroma with vanilla and oak nuances. It is really straight forward and easy to drink. Nice and fruity, slightly tannic on entry but ends with a nice chewy, not drying finish. If you consider this Old Bull is “young” for its age (not quite “nouveau”), you’ll be impressed by its drinkability. Who says you can’t teach an Old Bull new tricks??
