Turnbull Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Estate Grown Black Label 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Connoisseurs' Guide: Turnbull's top-of-the-line Cabernet is a varietal tour de force of great depth and style. It leads with a lovely, layered nose of pure cassis-like fruit laced with notes of briar and loam and framed by sympathetic sweet oak, and its potent, wonderfully vital, long-lasting flavors build on what is an altogether gorgeous aromatic start. It is at once succulent and structured, and its fruity precision and polish are such that it is bound to tempt early drinking, but this is a serious, eminently ageworthy wine with a formidable future and will continue to evolve and show ever greater beauty for a decade and more. Turnbull:
At Turnbull Wine Cellars we craft our award-winning wine using fruit sourced from our five stellar estate vineyards in Oakville and Calistoga. This diversity of fruit sourcing and exemplary viticultural work allows our winemaking team the ability to create wines with distinctive flavors that capture the personality of each site. Soils vary from deeper alluvial fans on the valley floor to the shallow, volcanic and rocky structures of the hillsides.
