Turley Zinfandel Contra Costa County Duarte Vineyard 1999

External Review by WineGlobe.com:

Very ripe and jammy, with layers of plum, black cherry, wild berry and spice. Finishes with a cedary edge and drying tannins.-From Wine Spectator Note: This bottle of wine has a damaged label. We can not be responsible for the quality of the wine.

The winery is a family operation helmed brother and sister duo Larry and Helen Turley, founded in 1993. Their prestigious wines are in constantly high demand, and their private wine club has a two-year waiting list. The wines are produced from several vineyards, with vines dating back to the 1800s. Each terroir lends its own character to the wines, and they are given separate labels according to location each vintage. The vineyards are located in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Lodi, Howell Mountain and Contra Costa.  Read less
