Turley Toffaneli Charbono 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Advocate Review Turleys 2003 Charbono exhibits a deep ruby/purple color as well as a distinctive nose of new saddle leather, blueberries, and compost. Some chalky tannins in the finish need to be resolved if this wine is going to merit a 90-point score.

The winery is a family operation helmed brother and sister duo Larry and Helen Turley, founded in 1993. Their prestigious wines are in constantly high demand, and their private wine club has a two-year waiting list. The wines are produced from several vineyards, with vines dating back to the 1800s. Each terroir lends its own character to the wines, and they are given separate labels according to location each vintage. The vineyards are located in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Lodi, Howell Mountain and Contra Costa.  Read less
