Bigger than the '01, '02, and '03 Pesenti vineyard zins, the 2004 explodes out of the glass with powerful yet intoxicating fruit on the nose. The attack is a mouth-coater, and the mid-palate is every bit as broad and luxurious as the 2002- though composed of "thicker walls". The finish is extremely long and evolves with rich, smokey black fruits reflective of the nose, which is where you wind up going right back to before the finish even goes away. Thoroughly an impressive wine, especially since I see it for prices under $70 in some places on the web. If you want to experience a top-notch zinfandel from California, I can't recommend the 2004 enough. It may not be as "seductive" or subtle as its 2002, older sibling- but it's every bit as powerful and perhaps even more memorable. 95 points, if such things matter to you.
Chewy with lots of blackberry fruit on the nose that exhibits itself on palette. Alcohol is not overly evident.

From Paso Robles' limestone soils, the 2004 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard could pass for a Grenache-based southern Rhone with its striking minerality, pepper and kirsch liqueur-like notes. Full-bodied, but remarkably fresh (thanks to the limestone)... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Zinfandel wine from California in USA. 2004 Turley Cellars Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard 750ml
