Turley Dogtown Lodi Zinfandel Parker 2000

Winemaker's Notes:

Notes on the Turley Dogtown Lodi Zinfandel 2000 89 Pts Parker : WINE ADVOCATE REVIEW: 89 POINTS The 2000 Zinfandel Dogtown (16.2% alcohol) is a huge effort. It is not as complex as some of its siblings, but it offers copious amounts of straightforward berry fruit intermixed with balsam wood, earth, and spice characteristics. The wine is full, with loads of glycerin, but not the nuances displayed by the other Zins. It will drink well for 4-6 years.TURLEY DOGTOWN LODI ZINFANDEL 2000 89 PTS PARKER

The winery is a family operation helmed brother and sister duo Larry and Helen Turley, founded in 1993. Their prestigious wines are in constantly high demand, and their private wine club has a two-year waiting list. The wines are produced from several vineyards, with vines dating back to the 1800s. Each terroir lends its own character to the wines, and they are given separate labels according to location each vintage. The vineyards are located in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Lodi, Howell Mountain and Contra Costa.  Read less

Intense and tightly wound, with firm tannins wrapped around a core of wild berry, black cherry and loganberry flavors, finishing with a tough edge of acidity and tannins. Drink now through 2008.-From Wine Spectator Note: This bottle of wine has a
