Ok. I have to come out on record for saying I think Tullamore Dew is probably my favorite Whiskey. Not that i'm into spending a lot of money..... so I havent compared it to the more expensive options out there, but this Irish Whiskey is very smooth and refined with a nice controlled and warm finish. It impresses the hell out of me and its about $30 for a liter locally and thats about my personal high end limit for spending on any liquor. I believe there are very nice options out there for reasonable prices, and this proves it. Works very well straight, or even better on the rocks. I've tasted more expensive whiskey's and this one still is my favorite. It is special!

Wine Enthusiast ReviewRated 85-89Yellow/honey/medium amber hue. The nose approaches being ambrosial, so intensely fruity is it; alluring estery, ripe and sweet scents of tropical fruits, most predominantly tangerine backed up by guava, orange rind, and kiwi, make for an unusual but totally captivating whiskey perfume. The sweet palate entry gives way to a midpalate off-dry firmness which spotlights caramel, toffee, woody flavors; succulent and feather-light on the tongue, but strangely the concentrated fruitiness isn't evident in the taste. The finish is clean, medium-long, sweet and squarely focused on the caramel/toffee component. An easy, uncomplicated, and undemanding Irish dram.
