Truro Vineyards Vignoles 2007
Tasting Notes: Lots of tropical fruit aromas like pineapple, guava, even a little coconut. A nice layer of crisp citrus gives wine good lift and nice balance with the rich fruit. The Vignoles grape produces some of the most interesting semi-dry and dessert wines in North America. This is a great match with spicy, exotic, hard-to-match Asian cuisines, but it also works beautifully as a light dessert wine with a fresh berry tart or crme brule.Winemakers: Matyas Vogel and David Roberts Jr. Grapes: 100% Vignoles Alcohol: 11.5% Residual Sugar: 3% Awards: 2007 Tasters Guild Silver Medal, 2006 Tasters Guild Gold Medal.
We pioneered the art of maritime grape growing on Cape Cod, and our vinifera vineyard produces wine with intense flavor and lush varietal character. We open our doors each season to wine lovers from around the world who visit the tasting room and gift shop in our carefully restored 1830's farmhouse. During the summer, wine tastings are held outdoors under our tasting pavillion.
