Tasting Notes: Maritime Red is a carefully orchestrated "winemaker's blend" of 64% Merlot and 36% Zinfandel after each has been barrel aged for 18 months. This creates a flavorful dry wine with a delicate, spicy finish. Designed to be versatile and approachable, this wine can be served with a variety of meats, game and pasta.Winemaker: Matyas Vogel and David Roberts Jr. Grapes: Merlot-Zinfandel blend. Fermentation: Extended maceration in open vats followed by fermentation in open vats. Barrel Aging: 18 months in American oak. Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod:
We pioneered the art of maritime grape growing on Cape Cod, and our vinifera vineyard produces wine with intense flavor and lush varietal character. We open our doors each season to wine lovers from around the world who visit the tasting room and gift shop in our carefully restored 1830's farmhouse. During the summer, wine tastings are held outdoors under our tasting pavillion.
