Built around a core of peach, tangerine and nectarine, with a hint of creamy oak. Sleek and refined, with vibrant acidity and a long zesty finish that unlocks plenty of subtle flavors. Drink now through 2012.
Tastes oaky and ripe, with smoky, butterscotchy flavors of pineapples. candied apples and pear jam. Production was 3,232 cases.
Powerfully built and densely packed with a complex palate of pineapple, banana, butterscotch and toasty oak. Iandrsquo;ve always found Truchardandrsquo;s wines to be fantastic values andmdash; even at $30 they still taste as though they cost $60! Fans of the Newton, Sonoma Cutrer and Ramey should take note andmdash; this bold, beautiful Chardonnay is one you should not miss!
Aromas of pineapple and pear are most evident followed by hints of Meyer lemon. This is a well-balanced wine with rich mouth-feel, good acidity, and flavors of caramel apple, vanilla, and butterscotch.
The '06 Truchard Chardonnay is built around a core of peach, tangerine and nectarine, with a hint of creamy oak; sleek and refined, with vibrant acidity and a zesty finish.
Elegant and restrained, with a core of citrus, ripe pear, cedary oak and nutmeg. Turns trim and flinty. Best from 2001 through 2006. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
The 2007 Chardonnay is a blend of fruit from two well-known vineyards (Truchard and Sangiacomo), it is redolent of scents of tropical fruits and honeysuckle. In addition to delicious fruit, it exhibits medium to full body as well as outstanding purity, richness, and length. Consume it over the next 1-2 years.
