Trou de Bonde Grenache Blanc Santa Ynez Valley 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

The WineWith its modest alcohol (14.1%) and crisp, mouth-watering acidity (pH = 3.14!), this wine is vibrant and fresh with pure varietal character. On the nose, look for bright green apple, floral orange blossoms and white peaches. Texturally its similar to Viognier, but with clean Granny Smith Apple flavors, mineral complexity and a touch of peach. This wine finishes with a clean, crisp, fresh fruit taste and a perfect acid balance.Food PairingsThis wine plays well with a range of light dishes. In the cheese department, its crisp acidity begs for a fromage of similar character try a good goat cheese / Chvre.Cheers!Dave the Wine Merchant
