averaging 45 years of age; another Stephane Derenoncourt wine that should represent good value) Medium ruby-red. Pure aromas of black cherry and licorice. Sweet

ST: (actually a marque, made from densely planted vines on a mix of soils, averaging 45 years of age; another Stephane Derenoncourt wine that should represent good value) Medium ruby-red. Pure aromas of black cherry and licorice. Sweet, sappy and fruit-driven, with juicy kirsch flavor and noteworthy depth. This offers lovely balance and finishes with broad, lush tannins. A blend based on 80% merlot.

JS: Very perfumed with lots of blackberry and floral character. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a fruity, creamy aftertaste. Score range: 89-91
