Trivento Torrentes Reserve 2011
Colour: bright, steely-hued green. Aromas: floral essence issues aromas of roses and violets interlaced with citric notes. Palate: delicate tropical fruits tread crisply on the palate before giving way to a fresh finish. Food Pairing: Enjoy it with Green leaves salad with pears hydrated in Trivento Reserve Torrontés and gout cheese with honey and oil dressing.
Founded in 1996 by Viña Concha y Toro, Trivento Bodegas y Viñedos aims to preserve and showcase its Mendozan terroir. Today, the winery has 3,200 acres across eight vineyards, and it distributes its wine to over 100 markets around the world.
This was a new grape for me, and it is now one that I'm going to try more of. Fruity nose makes it seem like this will we sweet, but it's not. Body is more floral with a bit of citrus. Amazing crisp finish, nice and tart. A really fun wine!
I like this a lot....lovely fruit notes but subtle and great finish.....we had it with roasted chicken ;-)
