Trivento Torrentes Reserve 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Colour: bright, steely-hued green. Aromas: floral essence issues aromas of roses and violets interlaced with citric notes. Palate: delicate tropical fruits tread crisply on the palate before giving way to a fresh finish. Food Pairing: Enjoy it with Green leaves salad with pears hydrated in Trivento Reserve Torrontés and gout cheese with honey and oil dressing.

This was a new grape for me, and it is now one that I'm going to try more of. Fruity nose makes it seem like this will we sweet, but it's not. Body is more floral with a bit of citrus. Amazing crisp finish, nice and tart. A really fun wine!

Trivento (Three Winds), is a whimsical reference to three winds that sweep through Mendoza and are such a distinguishing feature of the region s climate and environment.
