Trivento Malbec Reserve 2012
Founded in 1996 by Viña Concha y Toro, Trivento Bodegas y Viñedos aims to preserve and showcase its Mendozan terroir. Today, the winery has 3,200 acres across eight vineyards, and it distributes its wine to over 100 markets around the world.
First off, absolutely loved this wine. I am a fan of Malbec, and this is exactly the perfect balance of rustic notes and fruit. Ripe dark fruit on the nose. Very sweet tannins and a lovely meaty finish. This is a great pairing wine. I'm off to find something to pair it with!
Perfect affordable wine with a expensive like nose strong scent
CC: toasty marshmallow nose, blackberries, and black pepper, with a little bit of cocoa. fruit-forward on the approach, strong body. vanilla on the finish. DP: pine needles, spiciness in the nose. very smooth body.

Part of the Malbec Flight at Cru.The Cru review card: 'This Jammy red features dark cassis, blackberry preserves and plum sauce flavors that coat the palate, as spice, toasty oak, and licorice notes fill in the finish. This one just seemed to go better with what i had to eat, though all would work alone or with food.
Dry finish, pleasantly crisp and enjoyable. Definitive fruity lead-in with an excellent finish.

100% Malbec. Agrelo y Vistalba (Lujan de Cuyo), Mendoza, Argentina. Stony alluvial soil. Harvested by hand, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation follows. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, with an additional 12 months bottle aging prior to release. Purple red with deep violet tones. It has a bouquet of berry fruits, plum jam, coffee and tobacco notes. Elegant and powerful with velvety tannins.

A bright carmine red whose plum and raspberry jam aroma mingle elegantly with vanilla notes from the six months aged in French oak barrels. Well balanced, exhibits sweet tannins and a velvety finish.
