Food Pairings for Trione Pinot Noir Russian River Valley
Traditional winemaking practices were employed to make the 2006 Pinot Noir. Such techniques included open top fermentations, hand plunging the cap and three-tofour days of cold soaking before beginning primary fermentation. To accentuate the fruit component, 20% of the grapes were added whole cluster to the bottom of the fermenter. The 2006 Pinot Noir is a blend of clones 115, 667 and 777 from our Russian River Ranch. Each clone brings to the blend its own distinct characteristics. Clone 115 tends to be more fruit-forward with rich color. Clone 667 is earthy with good color and more pronounced ripeness. And clone 777 brings adds a silky texture and the signature Pinot Noir aroma.
