Trinity Hill Viognier Gimblett Gravels 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Situated on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Trinity Hill is a partnership between John Hancock, Robert and Robyn Wilson (owners of London’s Bleeding Heart and The Don restaurants) and Aucklanders Trevor and Hanne Janes. Three founding partners, hence the name “Trinity Hill”. Highly regarded for his all round abilities in both the cellar and vineyard, John Hancock has extensive experience in Australia, France and New Zealand. This Viognier is intense, brilliant golden-yellow/green in colour with aromas of orange blossom, cumquat peel and jasmine. It is full, rich and soft on the palate; the exotic and sensual nature of this wine makes it a great substitute for Chardonnay or Pinot Gris. Hard not to drink with Asian-style foods, cheese and desserts featuring apples, pears or quinces.
