Trinity Hill Homage Syrah 2009

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Tea, herb and a touch of stem on the nose, dark and slightly brooding with crushed berry fruit, violet pastille, bacon, game and a little black truffle. Very subdued early on, yet seamless with its dark, earthy, truffley entry. Some cocoa notes and a really meaty core with refined tannins, bright acids, and subtle spice notes arrive on the back end, with a bit of stemmy herb and black pepper accenting rich fruit on the elegant finish. Real power, iron fist velvet glove kind of wine. 93pts
