Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Homage Syrah 2010

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Lots of Viognier on the nose (5% Viognier in the blend). Very perfumed with just a touch of game and blueberry. Tight with a little white pepper and muscular wild berry fruit. Firm and dry, and almost austere, but packed with dry extract. Deep and savory, a bit inky but with juniper, game and huckleberry. Tight and focused on the finish, this is a big, dense wine but elegant and so well balanced, with room to improve. I love the texture of the tannins here. 90pts
