Trinchero Mary's Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2009
Moderately Fertile Soils And Excellent Sun Exposure Are Ideal Characteristics To Grow Sb With A Tropical Character. “Mary’s Vineyard is a warm place to grow aromatic whites and I have been pleased with the balance of ripe fruit and acidity in the grapes from this vineyard. The wine is fermented entirely in stainless steel, with no oak—I like my white wines clean and refreshing. It is unmistakably Sauvignon Blanc, yet boasts warm Napa Valley flavors of tangerine, mango, orange blossom, with a long, crisp, green apple finish.” - Mario Monticelli
'The Trincher Napa Valley winery is a work of art unto itself- -the perfect place to craft our new luxury wines. As an architect, this Project has been especially meaningful to me. No detail was overlooked and we worked tirelessly to not only malce this a great functioning winery, but to also make it a place for friends and family to gather'

Rating: 84/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the August 2010 issue. One of the first bottlings to come our way bearing the new Calistoga appellation, this wine smells of grass and freshly mown hay-like traits, and, while fairly ripe, it goes wanting for an increased sense of "juice". Its lack of fruity substance allows both bitterness and a bit of noticeable heat to show through at the end.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.
