What to Expect

Riesling is a chameleon of a grape, able to produce world class wines that range from bone dry to unctuously sweet. Germany is most closely associated with Riesling, where all styles are made and the range of flavors runs the gamut from steely and crisp with crunchy mineral-driven flavors to fresh lime, apple and peach flavored expressions - even rich honied, candied fruit tones in the great dessert wines.

Winemakers Notes

Crackling acidity holds the firm structure of this salty white together. Modest fruit flavors of pear and lemon mix with a hint of earth and this ends with a lip-smacking finish. Best from 2010 through 2020. 4100 cases made. Bruce Sanderson wine spec 91

Riesling Cuvee Frederic Emile is not produced every year, only when the Trimbach Family believes that the quality of the grapes is high enough to give birth to this wine. Thanks to the beautiful and constant air draft coming from the deep valley just behind Ribeauville, the grapes were picked ripe and in very healthy conditions. This Riesling is a text-book dry Frederic Emile, classic from the best terroirs of Ribeauville, which needs 5 years to blossom read more...
