Food Pairings for Trimbach Riesling Cuve Frdric Emile France
We love the universality of a good Riesling and have found some good inexpensive wines from Alsace. This particular choice is over the top on minerality for my taste and lacks the drinkability of many similarly priced Rieslings.
I usually don't drink Riesling because of the tendency for it to be overly sweet, but this one was not so, and definitely worth trying another glass.

Classic Alsatian Gewürztraminer: dry, elegant, and mineral, with fine floral aromas. A very nice bottle, and an excellent introduction to one of the most delicious and distinctive grape varieties there is.
A family-run winery since 1626 with some of the best Grand Cru vineyards in Alsace. This, the basic Riesling, is delicate yet firm, fresh, dry and finely mineral.
Wine Tasting NotesOur Pinot Blanc has a beautiful fruitiness; it is elegant and easy to understand. Ideal when poured by the glass, it is fresh and clean, medium-bodied with good fruit acidity, with a smooth finish. Enjoy our Pinot Blanc with light meals such as salads, poultry, roast pork, and seafood.
The classic grape of Alsace. At once delicate and vital, its intense fruit is given great length by a backbone of crisp acidity producing some of the worlds greatest and long-lasting wines.Tasting notes: Beautiful in color with a hint of green on the edge, this wine needs a few more months to reveal its potential and will age gracefully another few years. The nose is developed and shows a hint of mineral flavor associated with good ripeness and acidity and a lingering clean and dry finish. It is ready to drink now but has the potential to age another five years. Food pairing: An ideal accompaniment to traditional Alsace-style dishes such as goose and pork. Riesling is one of very few wines to be able to match sushi or sushi-styled foods.
The best-known of Trimbach's "Gold Labelö wines, Frédéric Emile Riesling is the epitome of the family style: pure and complex fruit brought to life with vibrant, muscular acidity. Totally dry. While its breadth and freshness are immediately apparent when every new vintage is released, Frédéric Emile's true depth and power come to life only after several more years of bottle aging.
