User Reviews for Trimbach Riesling Clos Ste Hune Alsace-Dry

Winemaker's Notes:

An exceptional parcel of old vines, exclusively Riesling vines, located in the heart of Grand Cru Rosacker, in Hunawihr. This Clos represents 1,67 hectares and has been the monopole of the Trimbach Family for more than 200 years. Annual production reaches about 8000 to 9000 bottles, depending on the vintage. That makes the wine so unique that Clos Sainte Hune is looked for by many collectors all over the world. Of great longevity and very rare, Clos Sainte Hune takes at least 5-6 years to reach its peak. The Family holds the bottles until they reach 5 years of ageing in the Trimbach cellars.

Tasting Notes:

The calcary soil allows this Riesling to develop specific aromas and a wonderful concentration of fruits. Dry yet succulent, of phenomenal complexity, this wine develops an extraordinary aftertaste of minerals after a few years in bottle.
