Tres Sabores Sauvignon Blanc Farina Vineyard 2012
An enticing, unusual Sauvignon from a highly unusual site: grown on a gentle hillside at 600 ft with a northeastern view. The aromatics are delicate: Manzanita-blossom-lovely while the flavors are melt-in-your-mouth supple with a citrus zest thanks to fermentation and aging in "previously inspired" puncheons.
Some hints of lemon/grapefruit aromas. Quite fruity on the initial introduction to the palate. Yup, there's the grapefruit along with that refreshing acid. Boy, this wine is begging for raw oysters, but I anin't got none. Another great summer sipping wine. Even though it's not summer, yet, it is pretty hot here, today. This wine is a winner. US$14.99 at Wine Club in Santa Ana.
