Grenache is the main grape in many Rhone blends and most Cotes du Rhone and Chateaunuef-du-pape. This smells fresh and exciting with transparent black fruit allowing notes of soil, tar and anise to peek through. Absolutely bursting with fresh fruit in the mouth this has zesty acids and just the right level of soft fruit tannins to give this a lovely, refreshing mouthfeel. A great value and perfect wine for those days by the Barbecue or simply for sharing with friends. This can take a light chill for enjoyment all summer long. 91pts

Cherry flavors mix with cocoa, mocha on the nose. In the mouth there's more cherry along with chocolate and a little ethanol. Medium bodied with light tannins on the finish. Nice

88 points, Wine Advocate Gregory Dal Piaz - Snooth This unoaked red is bursting with the classic raspberry and dried strawberry tones of Grenache but with the most amazing black pepper nose. There's a gamy edge here as well as dusty earth tones all supported by crisp fruit tannins and bright acidity making this a perfect match for a backyard burger, medium rare please!

Nose: New World ripe fruit, exactly like strawberries and cream with few other discernable notes.
Notes: Strawberry Twizzlers on the attack, opens up to some arugula, pepper and raspberry in the mid-palate, with red fruit and tannins on the finish. Firm tannic structure but not overly dry and full-bodied.

Pair with: Burgers on the grill

Deep red. Lush raspberry and candied cherry aromas, with hints of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Ripe and lush, with good weight and depth to its raspberry and strawberry flavors. No obvious tannins get in the way of the rich, sappy red fruit. An excellent value.
