A blend of the five classic red Bordeaux varieties, with Cabernet Sauvignon augmented by smaller amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot, this wine offers fragrant aromas of plums, blackberry jam, black pepper, clove and toasted oak. Medium bodied, the palate displays flavors of blackberries, raspberries and currants with rich chocolate and savory spices on the finish. Three and a half glasses
Let it open up a while. Still bites a little.
Three and a half glasses
A not so good blend of five wines at a modest price. Our group of four tasters asked; why did they bother? Our conclusion is the economics ultimately limited what from the types of wines is generally a much better wine. Save your money...and buy an upper price point of the same blend and perhaps a better wine presenting all the characteristics of the blend.
Great table wine - a Cabernet Sauvignon blend that hit me like a Malbec - which was good because the Malbec on menu where I was seemed a bit immature to be out of the bottle yet. Had it with a Cherry Toma cheese - VERY nice.
Very enjoyable Meritage - Bold and dry with a mild finish. Great pairing with seafood.

Trefethen Double T is a blend of Cab, Cab Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The 2010 vintage is soft and harmonious, with plumpy red raspberry and cassis character accented by notes of clove, tobacco, and chocolate.
Trefethen Estate winery is one of the few in Napa Valley that’s never bought any grapes. All of their wines are produced with grapes sourced from their estate vineyards, mostly the 61 vineyard blocks that make up their Main Ranch. The establishment of the Oak Knoll District AVA in 2004 is in large part due to Trefethen’s presence there. Just south of Yountville and Stag’s Leap, Oak Knoll is one of the coolest regions in the Valley. The Cabernet ripens slowly over an extended season developing complex flavors. This careful blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc 1% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot from the outstanding 2007 vintage was aged 17 months, all in French oak. Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored it 92 points saying "A great, upscale wine to drink now with the best you can pair it with. It shows classic Napa character, with firm, dry tannins, fine acidity and blackberry and black currant flavors. It’s almost entirely Cabernet Sauvignon, with tiny additions of other Bordeaux varieties. Give it a good decant, or cellar it for 5–7 years and see what happens."
