Winemaker's Notes:
Our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from grapes grown in our Hillspring Vineyard on the western side of Napa Valley in the Mayacamas foothills. The rocky, shallow soils of this marvelous site, coupled with our temperate Oak Knoll District climate, create ideal conditions in which to cultivate exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is a rare combination of unparalleled elegance, intensity and structure. Cassis, black plum, and licorice aromas introduce a lush mouth-feel with rich flavors of black fruit, spice, caramel, and a hint of smoke. Lamb, beef, and meaty fish such as tuna are magical pairings, especially with thyme, peppercorns, and caramelized onions.
