One thread that runs through almost all the Cabernet based wines from Napa is their lush, ripe full-bodied feel and rich flavors of currant and berry. Wines from the valley floor, particularly around Rutherford, are famed for a dusty quality and those coming from the hillsides surrounding the valley, Mt. Veeder, Diamond Mountain and Howell Mountain for example, tend to be a little leaner with more obvious structural elements.

Aromas of rich plum and cherry touched with cedar lead you to wonderfully concentrated dark berry fruits with a hint of black pepper on the palate. Excellent tannin structure combined with exceptional fruit forward flavors provides a long, lingering finish.

A very concentrated rich wine packed with dark fruit. With 2.5 years in oak there's some rich, yet soft, tannins there too - its really a silken layer of tannin. The fruit is awesomely powerful. Its 8 years old, but its got a lot of life left in it - nearly a 5...
