Not sure if I would buy again. Acid was pronounced, not enough fruit. Had better for the money. Read more

A great value alternative to pricey Barolos. Full bodied with lots of berry notes. Excellent pairing to meat prepared with a Barolo reduction.

I first had this at Eddie V's in Austin. I have been looking for it ever since. Thankfully, today I found it at Jimmy's Italian Market on Fitzhugh and Bryan in Dallas. This is a great wine. As described, it is A great alternative to a much pricier barolo.

A deep pomegranate red wine with delicate fragrances of violet and rose on the nose. The palate is mouth filling with red-fruit flavors of raspberry and cherry and hints of licorice and vanilla. Full-bodied with soft, silky tannins, the wine has a long, smooth finish. Total maturation time is 3 years.
